Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats

Had an intense Rice Krispies Treat craving all of the sudden and I couldn’t be happier that I gave into the urge to make these 👌🏼🔥 They’re really just your basic Rice Krispies recipe except I melted some peanut butter and chocolate to drizzle on top! Plus some flakey salt ALWAYS. They’re just so fun and nostalgic to make during the holidays 🤗 and honestly who doesn’t love them??

Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats

Ingredients

1 stick of salted butter
1 16 oz bag of marshmallows
5-6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
Flakey salt to top

Optional chocolate pb drizzle:

1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp peanut butter
1-2 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

Add the stick of butter to a large saucepan and turn heat to medium. Once the butter melts and gets foamy, add in the marshmallows and reduce the heat to medium low.
Once the marshmallows are melted, add in the cereal and gently stir. I always start with 4-5 cups then make sure everything is nice and coated before adding more.
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and gently add the Rice Krispies in. Use your hands or a spatula to very gently spread the mixture in the baking pan.
To melt the chocolate you can either place everything in a large bowl over a boiling pot of water to gently melt OR in the microwave on 50% power for 30 second increments.
Drizzle the mixture over top and top with flakey sea salt. Let the chocolate dry and serve!
